The colour of the year for 2019 is Green specifically: Nightwatch Green

The designers tell us it is a colour evocative of the lush greens found in nature and that using Nightwatch green in our homes will help “pull our memories of natural environments to the surface to recreate the calming, invigorating euphoria we feel when in nature”. It also pairs particularly well with metallic finishes and pewter tones

If you feel an entire room in this colour might be a little foreboding then paint experts Dulux recommend even if you don’t change anything else in the room, that by adding it to just one wall the transformative effect will be remarkable. Or you may wish to use it with their other colour for 2019 Mojito Shimmer which is a glistening, frosted green as shown in this bedroom:
