THE DELIGHTS OF AUTHENTIC THAI DINING AT SUN SABELLA
On Thappraya Road, Jomtien. at the junction with Pratumnak and just before the law courts, if you drive into the turning to Sugar Hut Resort on the right you will find Sun Sabella. If you are on foot you can also stroll through the palatial wooden doors down to a collection of beautiful buildings, teak pavilions, restaurants, a stunning water feature and a whole garden of large flowers that are very worth seeing when they light up at night
Sun Sabella was named in honour of the owner’s parents. Dr Samak and Dr Isabella (affectionately known to all as Ella) joined in the name ‘SABELLA’ . The owner Dr Sunya’s abbreviated name was then added and so ‘SUN SABELLA’ was created.

The health benefits of Thai food are renowned. At SunSabella dishes also incorporate fresh herbs and spices grown on the grounds of the resort, providing the freshest garden to table produce to be enjoyed anywhere.
Lemongrass, garlic, ginger, and chilies not only add flavour but also boost the immune system and metabolism. You will also find dishes with a selection of lean proteins like chicken and seafood, as well as an abundance of vegetables, contributing to a balanced and nutritious diet.
Culturally, Thai food reflects the country’s rich heritage and culinary traditions. At Sun Sabella each dish is crafted with a meticulous balance of flavours. The gentle sounds of jazz music and soft glowing lighting adding to the sensory experience as charmingly attired waiting staff, in traditional Thai costume serve you.
We opted for the chinese spring rolls with shrimp. They were bursting with so much fresh flavour you could almost feel yourself getting healthier as you ate them. The choice of either a sweeter or spicier accompaniment just adding to the variety of flavours.
Then on to some Stir Fried Kale with Pork which was extremely crisp and tasty, followed by succulent fried shrimp with garlic and pepper. Even the cucumber at the side of this dish was a fresh feast. We then decided to try some green curry and rice plus steamed Okra in Oyster Sauce, every mouthful was zesty, fresh and delicious.
If you’ve yet to try the food at Sun Sabella I urge you to go – your whole body and especially your taste buds will thank you.
