SCUBA DIVING FOR CHILDREN A way for the whole family to enjoy quality time together.
Over the last few decades, with customer demographics changing, the face of scuba diving has changed as well. Luckily the misconception that scuba diving needs to be a macho male activity has largely faded and more and more families are getting involved in diving activities with programs specially designed for younger people.Children as young as eight years old can enroll in the PADI Bubblemaker program and continue their diving experience with more fun activities through the PADI Seal Team program.
Once they turn ten, kids can take the PADI Open Water course and even progress and complete the PADI Junior Adventure Diver course. Seafari Dive Center offers these PADI youth programs and courses not only to families but international schools. This is an ideal way to get young children immersed in diving. This in turn, will make them care more about their islands, their coastlines and their oceans – and they’ll want to get others involved too!
Experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, the world’s leading try scuba diving program. This one-day program allows potential new divers to take their first breaths underwater while under the close guidance of a PADI instructor. Not a certification course in itself, but will lead to a fun packed day out. After completing the Discover Scuba Diving program this training can be credited toward the Open Water course. During the day your instructor will brief you on all the equipment and safety procedures needed. After a skills review in water deep enough to stand up in, your instructor will guide you through the shallows to the reefs edge. Here you will see many small fish and corals of many varieties.

Why dive in Pattaya Many of you may have taken a trip to Koh Larn and think that is all there is to offer. In fact, from Pattaya to Samae Sarn, Sattahip there are around 30 coral fringed islands and 5 large ship wrecks to choose from. Mostly the islands are off limits to tourists and under the control of the Thai Navy, although divers and snorkelers can enjoy these waters. Turtles are very common sightings here and they return every year to lay their eggs on several of the beaches. The visibility underwater is not as good as some of the southern islands such as Phuket, but this is compensated by the wide selection of the underwater ecosystem.
