FITZ CLUB’S DAYCATION AT THE ROYAL CLIFF HOTEL
So we’ve all heard plenty about the “Staycation” but how about a “Daycation”!
I really like this idea, perfect for expats, residents or domestic travellers coming into Pattaya because you don’t have to stay overnight at the hotel, or be a member of the club to use all that Fitz Club has to offer. You can grab some “me time” mid week, plan it into your weekend or gather together with the family or 3 other friends to have a great day in truly beautiful surroundings.
The facilities that The Fitz Club has to offer include a steam room, sauna, very well equipped gym, excellent changing areas with lockers, showers and as you would expect, everything you need from tissues, talcum powder, shower caps, body lotion, hairdryers they’re all there. Plus of course the towels that you will require throughout the day and water to make sure you keep hydrated.
If you’d like a game of tennis a 1 hour court session is also included but you won’t be surprised to learn that I decided to make good use of the stunning pool area just by the club as a place to relax after the workout. I love the design of this pool area which is separated by charming little bridges and walkways that allow you to find a secluded area. There are also water slides, fountains and jacuzzi areas as well of plenty of great places for the kids to splash about.
You can also have refreshments served by this amazing pool. I wasn’t going to eat anything as my idea was supposed to be all about getting fit and there’s certainly no pressure from the staff. They just give you a menu in case you should feel the need and once I saw the selection I couldn’t resist. Also the prices are in my view extremely reasonable when you consider where and with your Daycation pass you can also claim a further 10% off F and B. ]
So I opted for the green salad, one of the least calorific options, and only a reasonable 160 baht (++) pre discount I thought it might be a small portion, but no, an extremely generous plate was served up with with plenty of avocado, virgin olive oil, crunchy mange tout, peppers and accompanying warm bread rolls and butter. The great thing about eating at a five star resort is that the quality is guaranteed wherever you are.
There is also a lovely fitness room with a large wall mirror great for classes – I decided to try a step aerobic as I find classes less boring than the monotony of the single person work out The teacher was friendly, efficient and after all that exertion I was delighted to see that the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service back to the main hotel Which is great because your daycation pass also allows for beach access and even a 15% discount if you also want to finish the day off with a visit to the excellent spa.
At Only 700 baht per person or 1,800 for a group of up to 4 people this is a great deal and also a chance to have a look around the Fitz club.
